This healthy homemade lemonade with just 3 ingredients is slightly tart but still sweet and perfect for cooling off on hot summer days!

Healthy homemade lemonade in a glass with a straw, lemons beside the glass.

It’s getting really hot here today and tomorrow! If it’s hot where you live too and you’re craving a refreshing treat, this healthy homemade lemonade is just the thing! It requires little effort and takes only a few minutes to prepare, making it perfect for hot, lazy days.

This healthy homemade lemonade is made of just 3 ingredients: Freshly squeezed lemon juice, cold water, and agave.

For this recipe, you will need a larger amount of sweetener than for my recipe for healthy homemade orange lemonade, since the sweetness of the oranges as a natural sweetener is missing. You will also need to balance the acidity of the lemons with additional sweetener to achieve some sweetness. You can, of course, adjust the amount of sweetener to your liking.

Recipe for Healthy Homemade Lemonade

  • Just 3 ingredients
  • High in vitamin C
  • Easy and quick to make

How to Make Homemade Lemonade

To squeeze the lemons, I recommend a juicer, which is much easier than squeezing them out by hand.

Then all that is left to do is add all the ingredients to a pitcher, stir well, and serve immediately, over ice if desired, or cover and chill until ready to serve.

Wonderful, this lemonade! When I go shopping, I always take a couple of lemons with me; not for lemonade, but for enjoying a perfect cup of black tea with lemon juice and sometimes honey: my classic one! I was once told that I can prevent lemons from going moldy by cleaning the lemon peel with cold water. This requires no effort. so, save your lemons!
