Make this thick and creamy smoothie bursting of strawberries for breakfast or as a refreshing treat on a hot summer day. The smoothie recipe without banana is simple, healthy, and kid-friendly.

The Best Strawberry Smoothie

This strawberry smoothie requires no banana whatsoever and thus boasts the pure taste of sweet strawberries.

Once you have frozen strawberries in your freezer, this banana-free strawberry smoothie is quickly made at any time you’re craving a refreshing and vitamin-packed drink.

Using frozen strawberries rather than adding ice cubes makes this strawberry smoothie thick and creamy without losing flavor.

Apart from the frozen strawberries, you’ll just need a milk of your choice and optionally a sweetener of your choice to make your homemade strawberry smoothie.

Making your own strawberry smoothie at home is easy and takes no time at all. Simply combine all ingredients and blend until completely smooth using a blender or hand blender.

Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries and your tastebuds, you won’t even necessarily need the added sugar. Otherwise you can use any sweetener of your choice.

Make one large serving just for yourself or divide into two servings. Or double the recipe to serve more.

Vegan Strawberry Smoothie

This recipe can be vegan. To make it vegan, use a non-dairy milk. Options include unsweetened vanilla almond milk, almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk, and oat milk.

Yields: 1 – 2 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes minutes
This strawberry smoothie with just 3 ingredients is thick, creamy, healthy, quick and easy to make, and requires no banana!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150 g) frozen strawberries
  • 2/3 cup (160 ml) milk of choice (see notes below!)
  • Sweetener of choice, such as 1 tablespoon (21 g) agave or 1 1/2 tablespoons (19 g) raw cane sugar, to taste, or omit (see notes below!)

Instructions

  • Let the frozen strawberries thaw a bit first for easier blending.
  • Combine all ingredients and blend until completely smooth using a blender or hand blender.
  • Pour into a glas or two, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Sweetener: You can also use maple syrup, honey, or any other sweetener. The amount of sweetener will largely depend on the sweetness of your strawberries and you might also be able to omit it.
Milk: For a slightly thinner smoothie, use 3/4 cup (180 ml) milk instead of 2/3 cup (160 ml) as written above.
