This caprese salad is full of juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil leaves drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for a simple and delicious summer side dish!

Caprese salad is a classic Italian salad named after the Italian island of Capri and is assumed to have originated there.
You’re probably familiar with this side dish, so it might be more of a reminder for you to make it rather than a recipe. Given the fact that it can hardly be called a recipe since it’s so simple. Either way, it’s so good that I just had to write it down.

Caprese Salad Ingredients
Caprese salad is made of just a few ingredients, 5 ingredients to be exact: ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar or balsamic reduction. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to round it off. Use the best fresh high-quality ingredients to get the best out of it.
